Data Source Policy

This policy describes how opportunity data is sourced, verified, and presented on the platform.

1. Permitted Sources Only

We only ingest data from sources where automated use is permitted by the source's API, feed, license, or terms of service. We do not scrape, bypass authentication, circumvent anti-bot systems, or ingest data from websites where automated commercial extraction is prohibited.

2. Source Categories

Each source is classified as one of: API, Public Feed, Authorized Web Source, Manual, Contractor Submitted, or Partner Feed. Each source also carries a Data Usage Permission status: Confirmed, Pending Verification, or Restricted.

3. Source Attribution

Every opportunity displays its source name and, where legally and technically appropriate, a link to the original source. Users can always view the original source.

4. Load Board Integrations

Third-party load-board APIs (DAT, Truckstop, 123Loadboard) are not active. The connector framework is built and ready. Each will be enabled only when an authorized API partnership agreement is established.

5. Data Quality

Every opportunity carries an ingestion timestamp, last-verified timestamp, status, and expiration date where known. Stale opportunities are expired and not presented as current.

6. Demo Data

In demo mode, opportunities are clearly labeled DEMO DATA and are never mixed with real opportunities. In production, each opportunity is labeled by type: live opportunity, contractor submission, public opportunity, partner feed, or demo/test data.
